"Here I Stand"

Remembering the saints who have gone on before is important. This very short song is taken from the words of Martin Luther when he stood before the Diet of Worms, focusing on Luther's famous words "My conscience is captive to the word of God."

This song might be particularly used around the time of Reformation Day.

The Five Solas of the Reformation

The five "solas" of the reformation summarize the great truths of the reformers. About two years ago I wrote this song for a group of fifth and sixth graders at a private Christian School to help them learn the five phrases.

Sola Scriptura
Solo Christo
Sola Fide
Sola Gratia
Soli Deo Gloria

I was very pleased with the results of the song! The kids learned the chorus very fast. The verses take a little bit more work, but in the end they seem to be easy to get.

This song is part of a larger reformation play that I hope to publish here soon.
